The GII commercial sales team is headquartered out of our flagship Ballyragget production site in County Kilkenny, Ireland and services the global market. In addition, there are GII strategic commercial hubs in Wisconsin, USA and Dubai, UAE focused on serving our customers in the Americas and MENA region. A number of satellite offices across the EU supplement our customer and market focus in EU28 and neighbouring territories.
Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny
Processing up to 1 billion litres of milk, 900 million litres of whey and 180,000 tonnes of dairy ingredients annually, our Ballyragget facility is the largest multi-purpose integrated dairy plant in Europe. It’s been in production for more than 40 years, during which time we’ve invested €100 million on further developing and enhancing the site, from expanding its manufacturing capacity to installing a state-of-the-art water treatment plant.
Belview, Co. Kilkenny
Our brand new, state-of-the-art Belview facility is built to meet the highest standards in the manufacture of specialised milk powder products and nutritional ingredients, serving multi-nationals in infant formula and other industries. Developed at an investment of more than €180 million, the plant will export to a range of global regions, including Asia and North Africa.
Corman Miloko, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary
Glanbia and the Belgian company Corman (Bongrain Group), a world leader in butter and milkfat manufacture and processing, established Corman Miloko in 2005 as a joint-venture. Operating a butteroil fractionation plant on the Ballyragget site, Co. Kilkenny and a formulation and packaging factory in Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary, the site exports 80% of its factories combined output to the UK and Europe.
Virginia, Co. Cavan
Virginia is a longstanding supplier of cream to the alcohol beverage industry. Its milk protein facility opened in December 2014, designed to meet the exacting technical standards of the clinical and lifestyle nutrition market. It also produces and exports enriched milk powder to a number of regions, including West Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
Wexford Creamery, Co. Wexford
Production at our 14-acre Wexford plant dates back to 1963. The plant, which processes 160 million litres of milk a year, specialises in high-quality cheddar cheese, producing 17,000 tonnes of cheddar and 9,000 tonnes of whey concentrate per annum. Having acquired the Wexford site in 2014, GII is now investing €5 million into its expansion.
