Jim Bergin

CEO and Executive Director

Jim graduated from University College Cork in 1984 as a commerce graduate and completed an MSc in Management Practice in UCD in 1995. He has decades of experience from a long career with Glanbia that began in 1984, during which he has held numerous senior positions, including Finance Director Agribusiness and subsequently Group Business Process Director. He joined the Ingredients business as Operations Manager in May 2003 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of GII in 2005. He is also a Director of the Irish Dairy Board and former Chairman of the Irish Dairy Industry Association.

Aoife Murphy

Director Ingredients at Glanbia Ireland

Aoife has 16 years of experience in the Food Industry working with major multinational companies in both Technical & Commercial roles. Prior to joining Glanbia in 2009, Aoife worked with Kerry Group in a number of business units across Food & Ingredients in Ireland, the UK and The Netherlands within Commercial & Technical functions. Aoife has held a number of senior roles within Glanbia’s commercial function; Aoife is currently the Director of Ingredients with Glanbia Ireland
Aoife holds a BSc in Microbiology from UCD and DBS from Smurfit Business School

Padraig Keegan

Supply Chain Director

Padraig joined the organisation in 1978 as a Dairy Science Graduate and also completed the Irish Management’s Institute’s course in Leadership in Supply Chain Management. Padraig has worked in farm services, manufacturing and logistics, playing a lead role in planning GII’s growth and investment strategy. With over 30 years of experience in dairy, Padraig is perfectly placed to ensure our supply chain is run to maximum efficiency.

Seán Molloy

Director of Strategy and Supply Development

Seán graduated from the Agricultural Science Faculty at University College Dublin and worked in the Corporate Planning Department at the Irish Dairy Board before spending eight years in PwC as a Strategy Consultant. He joined Glanbia in 2007. In addition to his role as Strategy and Supplier Relations Director, Seán also holds the position as Company Secretary for GII.

Gordon Murphy

Chief Financial Officer

A Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland, Gordon joined GII in April 2013. In his 25 years since qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, his roles have included 6 years as Group Financial Controller / Company Secretary of Kingspan Group plc, 4 years as Chief Financial Officer with Bord na Móna plc and over 9 years as Finance Director – Ireland with RPS Group plc, an engineering and environmental consultancy business listed on the London Stock Exchange. Gordon is a member of the GII Board.

Michael O’Connor

Quality Director

Michael graduated from UCD as a chemical engineer. Having worked for multinationals such as Procter & Gamble, Wyeth, Pfizer and Nestlé, Michael has built up a wealth of manufacturing leadership experience over the past 23 years. More than half of this time has centred on senior positions in quality leadership, most recently as a global Quality leader in the infant formula business.

Michael O’Leary

Head of Human Resources

Michael is a graduate of the University of Limerick and has been with Glanbia since 1997. He has worked in a number of senior HR roles across Glanbia’s Agribusiness and Consumer Foods before transitioning to GII. He is playing a leading role in GII’s Organisational Readiness Programme for dairy expansion, including the seamless integration of our new Belview plant and recently acquired Wexford facility into GII. Michael is responsible for recruiting talented new staff and helping our current employees achieve their – and the organisation’s – ambitions.

Jim O’Neill

Operations Director

Jim graduated from University College Dublin as a Chemical engineer. He has also completed an MBA and has extensive experience in the complexities of manufacturing in both chemical and ingredient applications. After beginning his career as a Process Engineer with Henkel, Jim took his expertise into Operations Management in 2000. He joined GII as Operations Director in 2007 and has recently overseen the successful construction of the new Belview facility.
