Buttermilk powder (BMP)

We’ve been making buttermilk powder (BMP) since the early 1970s, using the buttermilk that’s created during sweet cream butter production. In that time, our BMP ingredients have become well-established and recognised for their flavour, excellent creaminess and mouthfeel.

Benefits and applications

We produce our BMP at our BRC-accredited Ballyragget facility. Our BMP boasts good solubility and is suitable for vegetarians. BMP can also assist with emulsification in certain applications. Key applications for our BMP as an ingredient include:
