Glanbia Ireland recently officially opened its new office at Ubora Tower, Dubai. The Irish Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, His Excellency Paul Kavanagh, was present to mark this important occasion. On the same morning, Glanbia Ireland also hosted the Irish Business Network Food Sector Forum which was well attended by a wide range of food businesses active in the region.
Regional Manager, Kieran Duggan presented an overview of the Glanbia Group, describing how Glanbia is best placed to engage with customers and partners at B2B and B2C level. The Dubai office currently serves key markets including United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Egypt, Algeria and Morocco. Glanbia first established its Dubai presence in the Dubai Investment Park in 2010, relocating to the larger office location in Ubora Tower earlier this month.
The business looks after a combination of B2B Ingredient, B2C Food Service and retail sales clients, as well as representing US Cheese interests across the region. The new, larger office and central location downtown will support the expected growth in the business over the next five years with Iran, Turkey and Libya identified as markets with growth potential.
Commenting, Kieran Duggan said:
“We are very pleased to officially launch our new offices here in Dubai. This is a significant milestone for Glanbia's presence in the Middle East and North Africa region, where having a physical presence is important in order to facilitate further growth of our business.
